“Gemma tables were designed to create a domesticated and warm alternative to typical technical contract tables,” states Altherr Désile Park.

Barcelona-based design office Altherr Désile Park has created the new Gemma tables for Leland International, introducing a new flare to the occasional table series that greets people with a warm demeanor and residential appeal, while adding to the already successful launch of the collection’s chair and soft-tailored lounge pieces.
The design’s end goal was to create a simple–not to be confused with simplistic–aesthetic.
The collection’s friendly, quiet contours convey craft, warmth, and optimism without shouting.

Today, looking around, we see the seamless co-existence of work and leisure, with the blurring of boundaries between office and home.
The Gemma Collection stands out with personable elegance and optimistic flair.
Gemma was created from a broader desire to open a new path, and the design process fulfilled that desire from the start.

Numerous models and prototypes were built over months to arrive at a collection infused with design and personality in every curve, angle, surface, and color.
More than from a specific inspiration, Gemma was created from a broader desire to open a new path for Leland, keeping mid-century American values of optimism, expressiveness, and industrial experimentation as a foundation, while looking toward the future.
Gemma tables are made from a broad spectrum of materials—from color on birch to timeless oak to a sophisticated walnut.
The new tables are available in round, square, and soft rectangular shapes, with two different base styles—solid wood leg or a metal totem base.

Gemma work-height tables compliment any space, meeting people right in the moment and mood they’re in.
The new table, chair, and lounge chair in the Gemma Collection are like pieces in a jazz trio.
Each is different in its own way, yet they come together to form a distinct tone and rhythm.
The pieces are curvaceous, featuring interesting geometries, and they look good just about anywhere.
