Alexandre Aubry, Head of Design & Development of Db Equipment creates the world’s rib-protected, hook-up compatible, and compressible surfboard bag that includes integrated pack bags.
The project has been awarded a 2021 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
The project developed as a collaboration between industry experts, professional surfers, designers, surf retailers, engineers, and airport baggage handlers.
The Bunker Bag holds 3 to 4 boards up to 6’6” and can be folded up when not in use.
The main design criteria were based on innovation, functionality, protection and safety, and clean/ stealth aesthetics.
