Designed by Adam Stover and his team at Populous, the new Elements Collection provides an incredible degree of customization and adaptability as pieces can be swapped and rearranged to match any configuration.
Populous worked with Belgium-based furniture manufacturer SIXINCH combining Populous’ breadth of experience with SIXINCH’s desire to chart a new path for its brand.
Taking inspiration from chemistry, the Elements line is a much larger scale version of the way individual elements come together to create elemental compounds.
From a distance, they may appear to be one mass, but at a molecular level the individual elements are separated by invisible bonds.
These smaller parts can then be rearranged to create something entirely new.
The rounded shapes of the Elements collection intentionally do not fit together perfectly, instead of creating small shadow lines that define where one piece ends and another begins.
This subtle detail draws emphasis to the way the different components interact by butting, overlapping, or separating.
“The Elements collection is a celebration of the parts that make up the whole,” says Adam Stover, Senior Principal at Populous.
“We worked with SIXINCH to create a line with a softer aesthetic that was comfortable and inviting, while still maintaining the whimsy that is a core part of its brand.”
“These products are both fun and functional, allowing a single space to transform in numerous ways depending on how the pieces are arranged.”
“Introducing products designed by the top sports architecture firm in the world is incredibly exciting,” said Josh Taylor, Brand Director for SIXINCH.
“SIXINCH looks forward to creating a new line of innovative products with Populous that will help our brand evolve and grow.”
