Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Made of recycled PLA filament and heat combined together, Amsterdam-based designer Jaro Kose has created a lighting collection entitled I Am Not a Robot collection without using any AI technology.

The designer explains that AI cannot replicate the individuality that comes with craftsmanship that also offers the artist’s individual touch, talent, and personal journey.
“The rise of AI-generated works has ignited discussions about the future of creativity and the role of humans in shaping design. The I’m not a Robot project is exploring ways to highlight the unique qualities that humans bring to the design process,” states Jaro Kose.

The outcome is artistic, playful, and inventive as far as the objects are concerned.
The collection consists of three different lamps, all of which are inspired by old Victorian lights; the two table lamps and an intricately designed chandelier.
Εach part of the lamps is manually bent and welded with a heating mechanism similar to that used in 3D printers.
