Designed by Alberto Lievore of the Barcelona-based studio Lievore + Altherr Désile Park and manufactured by JANUS et Cie in California, the ​The Ria Open Weave Armchair is a refined addition to the RIA seating collection.

The armchair’s clean, spare lines and graceful, ergonomic curves are complemented by its textural interest, embodying a balance of form and function.

RIA Opean Weave Armchair

The RIA Open Weave Armchair was honored with a 2024 Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design andThe European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, acknowledging its excellence in design and innovation.

It features intricately braided rope woven over a durable, powder-coated aluminum frame, providing both comfortable support and visual lightness.

It is available in two neutral, monochromatic colorways; Metallic Grey/Rock: A combination of inviting charcoal tones and Mercury/Moon: A warm, pearlized gold frame paired with creamy, variegated rope.
