Breville Global Design Team has given everyone the opportunity to easily create personalized café-style quality coffee at home, allowing users to easily create coffee quickly and conveniently.
Creatista Pro’s design has been awarded a 2021 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
The main differentiating feature of the Creatista Pro to other capsule coffee machines available is that it utilizes ThermoJet technology.
This on-demand, fast heat-up system (three seconds) lets users create 2 cappuccinos in less than 2 minutes.
The (patented) Thermo Jet flow through heater technology can quickly deliver hot water to the brew head; for coffee extraction, the steam wand; for texturing milk, and/or the dedicated hot water spout, allowing consumers to create smoother, bolder americanos with one touch, or to preheat cups.
A benefit of using thick-film heaters beyond speed is that due to their low mass, they respond well to varying power inputs and can therefore effectively be managed using PID control to deliver better, more reliable in cup results whilst also being kind to the environment by not having to use a “keep warm” feature.
A major focus for the Nespresso Creatista Pro was to develop an enriched user experience to reflect its position as the most premium domestic Nespresso offering in their Classic range.
Opportunities for enhancing the user experience were identified as being speed, interface, and convenience, all to be packaged as compactly as possible using material and aesthetic queues taken from its predecessor, the Nespresso Creatista Plus.
A full-color capacitive touchscreen, coupled with a highly considered UI, is used to control the powerful technical capacity of this machine.
The UI incorporates step by step guides to assist consumers in making beverages and in completing routine cleaning cycles.
A “jug detect” mechanism was utilised to ensure a smooth user experience, the TFT prompting users to place a jug under the steam wand if they’d forgotten, allowing the coffee brewing and milk texturing operations can be managed automatically by the machine for the greatest user convenience.
