With an appearance that seems almost to be floating, this home/office chair by ITO Design hides ergonomic features that make it as comfortable as it is stylish

Designed by Joel Velasquez of ITO Design Armin Sander for Henglin Home Furnishings, the Tony Chair harmonizes a playful and warm design with serious ergonomic mechanisms for the ideal office chair.

The softly shaped cushions that make up Tony almost appear to be floating, giving the chair a warm, homely, and non-technical appearance.

And yet, hidden inside the seat is an ergonomic synchronous mechanism that makes Tony an ideal solution for home office environments.

Tony Chair has recently been awarded a 2022 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

Tony comes in a range of colors, including fresh, pastel hues that coincide with contemporary work environments.

Its sleek and industrial legs contrast the supple contours and delicacy of the fabric seat.

Because Tony looks so good, it even fits into the interior design of homes, not only offices, transforming the home office into something more stylish.

Meet Joel Velasquez, representing ITO Design Armin Sander, based in Nuremberg, Germany. Their projects Tony Chair and Amola have recently been awarded a 2022 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. Joel reckons that “Good Design is meant to fulfill people’s needs. Mass-produced designs drove me in design and I think Good Design needs to be affordable and reach every person’s home.”
