Valet by Alberto Lievore of Alberto Lievore & Asociados for MD House is both a chair and a valet, offering optimal support and an additional valet function in a refined and elegant form.
Valet, the faithful assistant with a discreet and elegant presence, receives your garments after a busy day or prepares them neatly for the next day or night.
Valet has recently been awarded a 2022 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
The backrest, armrests, and accessories are shaped around a seat — to wear.
All this, in a small size, for a valet-chair that completes and accompanies the sleeping area.
Defined by a refined aesthetic, Valet is a transversal object, able to act as a chair, armchair, pouf, valet stand, and hanger.
Formed of soft, curved lines, the piece is at the same time linked to a tension that determines the slender shape.
A taut softness is welcoming and supportive at the same time.
The lower shutter, given by dark feet and recessed from the edge, emphasizes its visual lightness, making it seem suspended from the ground.
The high backrest, in addition to serving as a valet stand, offers excellent lumbar and cervical support, allowing you to comfortably rest your head.
Alberto Lievore’s designs focus on resizing the subjectiveness of the designer in observing reality in order to develop a more penetrating and solid critical spirit.
