Vitra Design Team presents the VitrA V-Care Smart Panel for Eczacıbaşı Building Products—a new stylish glass panel whose deceptively simple, yet ergonomic design conceals the flushing mechanism as well as a host of sophisticated efficiency features for bathrooms in private, commercial, and public spaces.
The project has been awarded a 2021 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
The V-Care Smart Panel is equipped with smart sensors, functions, and specialized algorithms, it cares about you and the environment.
The mobile app allows personalization as well as offering the option of monitoring WC usage to improve efficiency and economy at the workplace.
The V-Care Smart Panel’s integrated sensors provide a touch-free control option for the AutoFlush feature and supply the optimum volume of water with each flush.
A period of inactivity could lead to bacterial proliferation, backflow through the waste pipes, and the build-up of minerals and other deposits.
The V-Care Smart Panel’s Periodic Flush Mode regularly washes the bowl to minimize the risk of dirt, stains, odors, and bacterial growth, thereby greeting users with a hygienically clean toilet every time.
The default setting is ON, but it can be turned OFF via the mobile app.
The Lock feature allows the user to deactivate the panel when required for maintenance or security reasons.
In order to prevent accidental deactivation by children, the Lock feature is set to a five-second press of the button.
The mobile app offers additional benefits such as comfort, usage data display, remote control, and updating.

The V-Care Smart Panel prepares reports to support sustainability and raise awareness of water usage.
It also relays local announcements such as water and power shortages or cuts, allowing you to better manage the flushing systems.
Diagnostic algorithms help predict failures in advance, and the backup power unit ensures the use of the toilet up to ten times in case of a power cut.
