UYN ULTRA1 is a performance-driven line of athletic apparel by Trerè Innovation srl. that is specially designed to optimize breathability and is made with bio-based fibers.

For its innovative design, UYN ULTRA1 has recently been awarded a 2022 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
Over the years, the technical apparel industry has focused primarily on materials: increasingly lightweight, increasingly breathable, and sweat-wicking to enhance thermal comfort.
Until now, no one had focused their research on garment construction and, in particular, the number of seams.

UYN – Unleash Your Nature has made this aspect its philosophy, creating high-performance products that give athletes maximum freedom of movement.
The latest creation from the UYN engineers is ULTRA 1, the first running kit with just one seam.
ULTRA 1 is based on the study of “mobility zones“: the areas of the body where movement is more intense.

During running, “high mobility zones“ are located in the underarm area and on the inner thighs.
The work of designers and textile engineers has led to the reduction of seams in these areas, resulting in shirts and shorts featuring an exclusive one-seam construction and a perfect fit.
The new technology is called FREELEASE: the most advanced ever developed.

The advantages of FREELEASE technology for runners are threefold: greater freedom of movement, reduced chafing, and uniform compression that promotes blood circulation and increases performance.
Seams put a limit to the elasticity of the fabric, so the ULTRA 1 shorts and shirt can adapt perfectly to every movement of the body, without restrictions.
Over longer distances, the total absence of seams around arms and legs results in a significant reduction in chafing.
This factor increases the athlete‘s comfort and perception of well-being, and therefore concentration.

ULTRA 1 garments feature an ergonomic design specifically developed to reduce muscle vibrations and support body posture.
Without the interruptions of the seams, the compression effect is uniform and more effective, stimulating the oxygenation of the blood with a consequent reduction in the sense of fatigue.
The ULTRA 1 line is ideal for summer races and training in moderate to high temperatures.
The shirt and shorts are made using the bio-based fiber NATEX, a new-generation yarn made from castor oil seeds.

Thanks to NATEX, ULTRA 1 garments are 25% lighter and dry 50% faster than traditional synthetic garments.
Natex has a higher modulus of elasticity than ordinary, petroleum-derived nylon and has a natural bacteriostatic effect that minimizes the formation of unpleasant odors. In order to enhance ventilation and sweat absorption, UYN engineers have introduced Gradual Coolvent technology in the areas of increased perspiration (chest, back, lower abdomen).
A system of three-dimensional channels integrated into the inner surface allows air to circulate over the skin.

The mix of hydrophilic and hydrophobic fibers interacts with the excess sweat, transporting it quickly to the outside.
The result is optimal temperature management.
Even when the effort is maximal, ULTRA 1 helps to maintain the body‘s ideal microclimate.
