The project examines a high-rise office building that aims to create office space with the organic integration of leisure areas for its users, expressed through its architectural synthesis and form.
The building form expresses the hustle and bustle of the urban context, possessing a living quality and a sense of movement that resonates with the human experience.
Tilted Juxtapositions by Pattichi and Tozaj-Eparchitects, won an “Europe 40 Under 40” Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design, and Urban Studies.
The vertical juxtaposition of three stacked irregular volumes along the solid vertical core of the building creates a playful architectural composition of solid and void.
The light highlights this architectural synthesis of the slightly shifted prisms in relation to one another through their perforated facade and the two intermediate voids that function as outdoor terraces.
These terraces introduce moments of relaxation and social interaction within the working environment and host the leisure spaces on the 3rd and 7th floors.
Each volume is wrapped by a lightweight, semi-transparent facade system that filters light with anti-glaring properties while ensuring visual continuity and environmental control.
The setbacks between the volumes generate planted terraces that soften the building’s mass and reinforce the connection between interior workspace and outdoor areas.
Office floors are organized with flexible open-plan workspaces, meeting rooms, and support areas arranged around the circulation core that is cladded in wood.
Transparency and visual depth characterize the interior layout, promoting collaboration and spatial clarity. This spatial quality is balanced by the material warmth of the circulation core’s wooden cladding.
The Ground Floor level includes the entrance lobby and a shop along the avenue. The first void on the 3rd floor accommodates the cafeteria and its terrace.
The second void on the 7th floor hosts the gym and the seminar room, enhancing users’ well-being through light, air, and greenery.
At the top of the building, the roof garden serves as a recreational landmark, featuring a swimming pool and a bar.
This level offers panoramic views and functions as a social hub, completing the architectural narrative of a balance between work, leisure, and wellness.
Overall, the design emphasizes vertical layering, permeability, and the integration of nature, redefining the contemporary office building as a dynamic and human-centered workspace.
