Purveyor of innovative luxury within the juvenile space, Lisa Furuland Kotsinis of DockATot unveils the Kind Bassinet, a new concept in infant sleep safety and bassinet design.

For its sustainable design, DockATot’s Kind Bassinet has recently been awarded a 2024 Green Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
Inspired by the traditional Finnish Baby Box which has revolutionized sleep safety in Finland since 1945, DockATot’s belief that every baby deserves a comfortable, safe start is the essence of this exciting new project.
The project is a disruptive concept that goes against the grain of traditional bassinets and cribs, made from 100% corrugated cardboard, one of the most recyclable materials on earth.
DockATot sources sustainably, using materials from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social, and economic benefits today and for future generations.

The Kind Bassinet is strong enough to sustain baby and any future siblings, but is kind and gentle to the earth and the environment.
Biodegradable and never destined for landfill, it can either be recycled or gifted-forward to friends and family.
Born, bred, and designed with love in Europe, DockATot’s project surpasses safety testing under infant safe sleep space standards.
Firm, at, and breathable, the project offers numerous air passages around the sides and base for superior ventilation.

Elegance and aesthetic are a core principle of this project, while functionality exceeds traditional bassinet standards.
Ultra-portable and lightweight, it can be effortlessly used all over the home and packed down and instantly reassembled without tools.
Perfect for weekend trips to grandparents, and ideal for families who love to travel and explore, the Kind Bassinet makes life with little ones limitless.
Mattresses are made with supportive Dupont™ Sorona® foam, crafted from renewably sourced fiber. To ensure that all of life’s ‘messy moments’ are accommodated for, Kind bassinets are coated with non-toxic protective varnish with water-resistant PEVA casing around the mattress.
The Kind concept is all about doing things better, and as part of that, DockATot will be supporting families and children who are in need.
DockATot plans to create Kind Bassinets to make available to hospitals and those in need across the world as part of the social responsibility to make a positive difference in the world.
