Höhr-Grenzhausen, Germany

Rooted in the rich heritage of monastic brewing, the Convent Goblet is a refined expression of how thoughtful design can elevate the beer-drinking experience. Balancing aesthetics with functionality, this carefully crafted glass brings out the very best in both classic and contemporary brews.
Convent Goblet by Rastal, won a 2025 Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design, and Urban Studies.
At the heart of its design is a wide, generous bowl that allows complex aromas to fully develop, enhancing the sensory depth of each pour. This is complemented by a gently narrowing rim, which helps preserve and stabilize the foam while guiding the aromas toward the nose. The result is a more rounded and immersive tasting experience, particularly suited to robust ales, Belgian classics, and modern craft interpretations.

Made from brilliant crystal glass, the Convent Goblet offers exceptional clarity, allowing the beer’s colour, texture, and effervescence to shine. Whether it’s a deep amber ale or a lively golden brew, every detail is beautifully showcased. Its timeless silhouette bridges tradition and contemporary elegance, making it equally at home in refined dining settings or relaxed gatherings.
Versatility is another defining feature. With calibration options ranging from 0.25 to 0.4 litres, the goblet adapts seamlessly to both professional gastronomy and personal use. Durable, elegant, and purposefully designed, it stands as more than just a vessel—it is an invitation to experience beer with greater depth and appreciation.
In the Convent Goblet, centuries-old brewing inspiration meets modern craftsmanship, offering a glass that honors tradition while enhancing every sip.
