Norman Foster opens a new art museum in Datong with its four, bold and heroic interlocking pyramidal roof peaks as the new cultural hub in the region
American Prize for Architecture laureate Norman Foster and his team at Foster + Partners led by Luke Fox and Angus Campbell together with China Architecture Design & Research Group and landscape architects AECOM have completed the new Datong Art Museum—China’s “Museum of the 21st Century”—as one of four major new buildings within Datong New City’s cultural plaza.
