American designer Stephen Burks has a created another Dedon first — an outdoor lounger with all of the iconic style, ergonomic comfort and luxurious attention to detail that one expects of the finest indoor pieces.
Ahnda is an outdoor lounger with all of the iconic style, ergonomic comfort and luxurious attention to detail one expects of the finest indoor pieces.
Ahnda strikes you immediately with its looks.
The designer immersed himself in the weaving culture of the Philippines to develop the chair’s signature open weave, a sort of “transparent upholstery” of weatherproof Dedon fiber, beneath which Ahnda’s clearly articulated form signals a fresh approach to classic lounger style.
Ahnda is a luxury lounge seating collection designed for multiple postures whose handwoven form is intended to express volume and transparency simultaneously through its double-layered weave.
Its name is derived from the Latin word ‘merienda’ and the relaxing afternoon break that follows.
The items from the Dala collection are made of an aluminum structure that is meshed with organic fibers.
The fiber, made by Dedon, is manufactured from recycled packaging of food and beverages, mixed with polyethylene.
The Dala collection consists of a lounge chair, an ottoman and a stool.
Lightweight, portable and with comfortable pillows, the pieces from Dala collection can be placed directly on the ground and can be easily moved around the yard or on the beach.
The pieces are available in three colors – stone, fire and grass – and can be meshed from fibers of various widths.
Although they are made from recycled packaging, the fibers have a distinctive luster and rich texture, very pleasant to touch, being similar with the skin.
Being very suitable for the garden, terrace or balcony, beach or pier, the Dala pieces invite you to spend time and relax outdoors.
Dala takes inspiration from the artisanship and improvised seating arrangements of the developing world. Surface and structure merge in this versatile collection by Stephen Burks, each piece starting as a powder-coated frame of aluminum mesh through which Dedon´s master weavers thread colorful strands of our revolutionary fiber.
With Kida, Stephen Burks has designed a hanging lounge chair as delightful to look at as to use.
The first collection to be wrapped rather than woven in 834 meters of Dedon’s special Fiber Touch it features a cradle-like organic form that’s open, airy, light and inviting.
Once inside, users can luxuriate in Kida’s comfy cushion, which covers the entire seating area, and feel, in Burks’ own words, “as free as the breeze” when swinging.
Kida is the new collection of individual swings inspired by traditional rattan furniture intended for indoor and outdoor use.
Its soft-touch Dedon fiber-wrapped aluminum frame gently supports the body without completely enclosing it.
Meet The Others, an anthropomorphic lantern collection that ventures into decorative art.
Playful, colorful, sculptural and sophisticated, The Others consists of a variety of hand-woven lanterns that, presented individually or arranged in totem-like stacks, take on the appearance of illuminated characters.
The Others is a family of solar-powered portable lanterns disguised as colorful companions for spending time indoors and out that seeks to remind us that we were all new in the neighborhood once.
Pairs of hand-made acrylic eyes, available as accessories, gaze back at the viewer with humor, curiosity and even a little mischief.
The Others, the collection comprises 12 lanterns of different sizes, which either stand on a
milled marble base or are hung like pendants.
The lamps are hand-woven in the Philippines and provide warm, atmospheric lighting that is dimmable.
