Designers Engin Akbaba, Kaan Semih Savk, Ugur Dundar, Eren Atay, and Zafer Carpan of Silverline create Lightline, a unique appliance where innovative ventilation meets a revolutionary ambient lighting experience.
The suspended appliance is height adjustable using a motorized lift function and features tuneable white LEDs which illuminate the cooking areas from above and its surroundings— transforming the necessity of ventilation into a design masterpiece.
The project has been awarded a 2021 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
Lightline suspended range hood allows its users freedom with its adjustable lighting features to create a professional environment for the most demanding cooking tasks or a recreational ambiance in living space, besides its powerful ventilation.
The powerful technology and simple design language of Lightline take the kitchen experience a step forward and enhance the modern kitchen design by using high-quality materials and precise production methods.
The appliance is crafted precisely from aluminum and glass, which is visible on the kitchen ceiling while remaining eye-catching addition to the kitchen.
The aluminum edges of the product are the reservoirs of the tuneable Led lighting fixture and secondly, is a seamless referrer for the fluidity of the air suction.
If they are combined with diagonal corner connectors, it creates a robust structure for glass installations and increases the feeling of fluidity and ergonomics of the product.
For ages, light has been always a dominant factor in human behavior and psychology. Lightline is a multifunctional lighting tool that is consistent in design and lighting quality.
Whether as an island or ceiling– the comprehensive luminaire system creates perfect light in the cooking workplace and a strip of light opens up new possibilities for creating a new living atmosphere and moods.
A color temperature range of 2000 to 6500 K, allows a choice of light all the way from soft white to daylight, besides the indirect illumination of RGB lighting on the top of the product.
The user can adjust the height up to 3 meters. When not in use, it raises to the ceiling and looks like a ceiling fixture.
Thanks to its remote control and “Silverline+” mobile application, controlling the appliance is lucid and effortless.
Adaptive height adjustment of the lift function or comprehensive luminaire system can be controlled easily and makes it sure that is perfectly placed on the correct height for the cooking types.
In the App., information like lux index, and color temperature can be monitored as well. The mobile app can control the main functions of the hood, for instance air flow rate, up and down movements, and lighting. It is possible to use the app to set the temperature of the functional lighting and change the color of ambient lighting.
