Gavirate (VA), Italy
Designed by architect Rodolfo Dordoni, Norma is the new outdoor kitchen and truly new product for Italian manufacturer Roda as it ventures into the world of cooking.
Norma is inherently modular and versatile.
The independent structure makes it adaptable to a small outdoor corner or a large space with well-structured furnishing solutions.
The collection is composed of a sink module and a cooking module available with fixed feet or wheels.
The two freestanding units – one for preparing food and one for cooking it – have surface tops made from sintered Lapitec stone.
The preparation module functions as a kitchen island with a steel sink and an extendable table that can be unfolded to free up an additional workspace or create a small dining area.
The cooking unit, which can be stored beneath the extendable table, houses a large five-burner gas stove and is fitted with wheels that allow the unit to be effortlessly moved with ease.
In addition to the two modules, a peninsula can be attached to the sink module offering an additional preparation space that can be extended to become a suspended counter for dining with the simple addition of a bar stool.
The options include a refrigerator to be stored under the sink module, stainless steel fry-top plates and larch-wood cutting boards that fit perfectly on the worktop.
