Specifically developed to meet the needs of skippers worldwide, the RM 60-01 Automatic Flyback Chronograph Les Voiles de St Barth offers a flyback chronograph function together with an oversize date display at 12 o’clock and a month indicator placed between 4 and 5 o’clock.

A seafarer’s delight, the exclusive timepiece also doubles as a compass and is unlike any other of its kind.

The Le Voiles de St Barth began in 2010, and was started by the French sailors François Tolède and Luc Poupon as an international sailing competition on the island of St. Barthélemy in the French West Indies.

The idea was to make Les Voiles de St. Barth the grand prix of sailing. It was not to be a casual affair.

They modeled the event on the island’s sailing regattas started by Loulou Magras during the 1970s that drew more than 140 boats each year. The event has been held annually till 2020.

Introduced in regatta’s colors, it is equipped with several complications.

This edition carries the St Barth regatta’s colors in turquoise.

It comes with a rotating bezel that allows the wearer to identify their direction without a separate compass.

Its second-hand tells the time in a different time zone and is pointed towards the sun, while the rotating bezel is set such that the local hour is shown with the compass headings of North, South, East, and West Point in the correct directions.

“We always focus on the useability of our watches, and when we originally developed the RM 60-01, we were advised by one of the head organizers of Les Voiles de St Barth, who has pretty much sailed all corners of the Earth,” states Tim Malachard, Marketing Director for Richard Mille.

Limited to only 80 pieces, the Richard Mille RM 60-01 Automatic Flyback Chronograph Les Voiles de St Barth is priced at $150,000.

Proceeds from the sale of the RM 60-01 Automatic Flyback Chronograph will go entirely to local causes in St Barths.
