The Cazetora Conference Chair 600 (CC600) and 700 (CC700) designed and manufactured by Quali, are sustainable chairs made from 100% recycled felt sheet, designed to be environmentally and human-friendly.
This project is recognized with the prestigious 2024 Green Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
The high-density felt developed for these chairs is made from waste materials, including discarded plastic bottles, cloth remnants from the felt manufacturing process, and scraps from the production of PP fabric.
The felt seat is composed of three layers: one layer of thin but strong felt that can support an adult, and another layer with a soft, fabric-like texture, resulting in a chair that is both durable and pleasant to the touch.
The seat mats are also made entirely from recycled materials. The cushions are crafted from recycled urethane waste chips, and the upholstery is composed of threads made from discarded fabric.
The simple yet beautiful seat shell shape is designed to maximize material efficiency and minimize waste.
The legs are constructed from aluminum and steel pipes without any additional features and can be separated without special tools. This minimalist approach further enhances the sustainability of the chairs.
The combination of the simple and traditional four-legged CC600 and the functional and sophisticated swivel-legged CC700 makes the series suitable for a wide range of uses, from lounge areas to casual office spaces. This chair series is ideal for today’s need to create sustainable spaces.
