Ramón Esteve has designed an entire new collection of lighting fixtures for Vondom, which are highly influenced by Art Déco precedents from the 1930s.
The lamps are based on the idea of creating a surrounding atmosphere through a suggesting play of lights by means of the lamp’s surfaces, where the material reproduces the shapes and sensations of engraved glass.
The Gatsby lamp recently won a 2021 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
“Something new, extraordinary, beautiful, simple but sophisticatedly designed”, said Francis Scott Fitzgerald about his aims for the novel he was about to write.
Its autonomy, adjustable light intensity, and the possibility of choosing the projected color at any moment make Gatsby a perfect technological solution.
Through the symmetrical patterns that the light draws when it projects its geometrical forms, the Gatsby lamp is perfect to create an extraordinary atmosphere with an intricate design for any space. The result is just beautiful.
