Whitney Brothers, early learning and institutional childcare facilities’ manufacturers invited product designer Adam Haenchen to give a fresh take on the privacy pod concept.
The Nature View Serenity Pod is an inventive biophilia-inspired interpretation of a pod study carrel for Early Learners that enables unlimited configurations in physical space design and supports flexible learning environments.
Its design has been awarded a 2021 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
The 20″ H pod desk and stunning woodland scene printed on the curved acrylic panel together create a comforting personalized space for children to read, draw, color, create or focus without distraction or compromising visibility for adult supervision.
