“La Grangette is inspired by my childhood family home and by the vegetable garden where my grandfather lovingly grew all kinds of vegetables in the countryside of the South of France,” states Thibaut Pradier, President of La Grangette.

“We wanted to propose the same kind of experience, adapting it to the contemporary urban lifestyle: people today have less time and space but want to consume fresh, healthy products.”
The prestigious Italian brand Pininfarina has envisioned a way to make you live an extraordinary home farming experience with the innovative design for the new La Grangette Indoor Vegetable Garden, which brings the outside indoors while combining looks with high-level performance.
La Grangette’s project recently won a 2022 Green Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
The initial idea came from a French family business with the same name based in Avignon.
Between Pininfarina and La Grangette, they have created an indoor garden using the latest technology that can cultivate various plants, healthy salads, herbs, and thanks to the addition of A.I and an App, much more.

The latest technology allows the simultaneous cultivation of 64 plants, choosing from 43 varieties of salads, aromatic herbs, and healthy.
The extraordinary smart technology of La Grangette allows growing plants for food use without wastes, recreating the optimal conditions for each of them to reach full maturity. La Grangette consumes 90% less water than in conventional agriculture, without herbicides or pesticides, and allows fewer CO2 emissions during the plant’s life cycle.
La Grangette also captures the premiumness of an art of living that combines luxury and design where you can enjoy the beauty of a living painting in the heart of your home.
Pininfarina, however, goes beyond the sheer beauty of the product, adding to its delightful interactions.
Building on artificial intelligence and auto-growth monitoring, La Grangette gently and intuitively guides users throughout the various steps of growing plants, from indicating the most favorable seeding position for healthy growth to informing when the perfect time for harvesting has come or helping them discover new plants, scents, and flavors.
When seeding, inform in your Grangette app, variety and slot selected. Daily harvest notification will be suggested.
You can experience the magic of growth, discovering how your plants evolve in time.
The digital extension opens a virtual mirror to La Grangette, wherever you are.

Need to plan a lunch or a diner?
The Assistant app planning feature will successfully suggest the right amount of seeding needed.
The styling of La Grangette draws on delicate and clean lines to suit every home type and style. It is available in three colors (light warm, cold grey, and dark warm), with solid wood finishes (oak, ash, or pine) or wood and metal.
“Our collaboration with La Grangette has been absolutely exceptional, giving Pininfarina the opportunity to demonstrate its unique capabilities to help create and bring to market ground-breaking product and service experiences,” states Xavier Blanc Baudriller, Head of Experience and Product Design at Pininfarina.
“It is an embodiment of our core beliefs and values: from approaching technology as permeating the very fabric of the products we design, bringing together the tangible and the intangible into one inseparable whole, to focusing not only on the beauty of an object but also on the delight of interacting with it, or designing and developing products in more sustainable ways and promoting more sustainable ways of living.”
The Grangette is delivered ready to use according to the plants’ configuration that was defined in the order.
