Philips Corporate Design and the Signify Design team have designed a new adventure in lighting design with the Ledalite ModiFly suspended and wall lighting fixtures.
The new Signify lighting won a recent 2020 Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum.
The new fixtures liberate light.
From the depths of creativity comes something powerful and original.
The agile and sophisticated fixtures harness the ultimate flexibility of on-site articulation of luminaires and create one-of-a-kind designs with unique shapes and precision angles.
ModiFly lets vision fly free and unencumbered. Whether it be pods of pendants floating under sky-high ceilings, a canopy of suspended hexagons linking in a luminous web or well-defined squares perched at varying heights for a geometric yet whimsical space.
These fixtures offer a backup plan for lighting challenges that may even inspire exciting new concepts or rejuvenate routine patterns.
They allow for ultimate flexibility, making lighting the key element of architectural design.
Creating light shapes and patterns brings opportunities to brighten our lives and eliminate “cave-like” shadowing effects.
The Ledalite ModiFly suspended, articulated linear luminaires can be easily molded into numerous attractive profiles to create multiple light designs and patterns.
Vertical light guide plates on each side of the body direct 75% of the light downward and 25% upward for consistent ceiling lighting.
Delicate components are tucked safely and discreetly inside the luminaire’s “wings,” for a pure, unbroken line.
And the luminaire’s shape is sophisticated yet balanced, with a narrow body, rounded top and chamfered endcaps.
The fixtures come in bold and striking new metallic finishes: Hero Gold, Silver Nova or Venom Black – as well as the traditional choices of black, white and titanium.
