Global technology brand OPPO has announced a three-year partnership with Hasselblad, the legendary camera manufacturer, to co-develop industry-leading camera technologies for OPPO’s flagship Find X series.
The two brands will focus on breakthroughs in color science to create an improved mobile photography experience on Hasselblad Camera for Mobile.
Building top-tier imaging systems capable of delivering a world-class mobile photography experience is a key strategy for OPPO to bring forth a next-generation premium smartphone experience.
OPPO and Hasselblad will now work together to further develop advanced imaging solutions through R&D collaboration, which aims to provide users with more natural colors and a more refined imaging experience.
Leveraging Natural Color Calibration with Hasselblad, OPPO also targets to bring the most natural skin tone possible to its portrait photography.
In addition to the slightly faster optics is a new five-axis stabilization system and a significantly improved 4K Ultra Night Video / Photo mode.
Starting with the software improvements for natural color tuning, the three-year partnership will further enhance the color calibration solution and target to establish the new benchmark for smartphone camera color performance, delivering a consistent natural color performance for OPPO mobile phones to cover all scenarios and across the entire camera system.
Also, for the first time, OPPO uses a ceramic back cover on its Find X5 Pro, not only for superior durability over the glass but also for its stunning appearance.
Each of the ceramic backs of the OPPO Find X5 Pro is built with microcrystalline material that is calcined at a temperature of 1,000-degrees Celsius and carved after 2,000 individual control points.
On top of that, OPPO engineers invented a precise machining method and the never-before-used four-axis polishing machine using micron-level diamond powder to adjust every panel with the precision down to 0.005mm.
The result of all this machining is the remarkable OPPO Find X5 Pro, with its refined ceramic finish that reduces fingerprints and remains twice as strong as glass.
Further, it doesn’t get too hot when the phone works on heavy tasks, such as gaming.
Curves have historically represented warmth, comfort, and peace. In industrial design, they serve an even higher purpose. Besides bringing a smooth shape, curves are naturally more ergonomic, making the tactile experience more comfortable.
The curve has inspired OPPO’s entire Find X series, allowing each handset to truly stand out from the competition.
The OPPO Find X5 Pro has removed the camera lens and perfectly blends the lenses under the housing within 0.01mm, which means you won’t see unsightly protrusions from any angle.
OPPO has invested millions in developing specialized automated equipment to achieve this technical feat.
Holding the OPPO Find X5 Pro in your hand, the camera housing feels at one with the phone rather than nailed on top.
The rear panel gently flows around the lenses themselves, making the camera housing slope up without any protruding lenses that break the aesthetic.
