Project Description

“one4two” creates contemporary forms of communication

One for two, to stand or sit at, for a laptop, a handbag, or the text of a speech. With a height of just over one meter, the smart standing/sitting table is a versatile all-rounder that can be covered with a wide variety of different laminates, allowing it to be adapted perfectly to the color scheme of a particular room.

The creative minds behind “one4two” and the initiators are to be found in our architecture practice: Pichler & Traupmann Architects. The way we see it the fundamental objective of all our projects is to create space for being together.

The development of this unusual type of standing-table type aims at rethinking the concept of communication, while at the same time generating a new understanding of the term “at eye level”. In this sense “one4two” is a contemporary reflection of our society:

Inclusive, cross-generational, and diverse, it brings people together at one table, making possible a new form of communication, seated, standing, or in a wheelchair, at a company or public events. It facilitates conversation or dealing with documents in public buildings, at healthcare facilities, as well as at service providers with client access. Made from sustainably harvested birch wood, this eye-catcher can, if required, be covered with a durable, easy-care laminate, allowing complete harmony of organic form and communicative function.
