Switzerland-based designers Michael Thurnherr and Sonja Frey of 2nd West have created Franke A300, a compact, fully automatic, professional coffee machine which brings a great coffee experience to any-sized location.
The design has recently been awarded a 2021 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

The heating mode is fully automatic, and is only active when preparing a drink, turning off between brewing. The patented, fully automatic RFID- based descaling system manages the citric acid agent for optimized energy profiles.
