Systemtronic’s desire to create long-lasting furniture with highly functional performance has led to the collaboration with Mario Ruiz who has created the brand’s newest launch: the Wing modular shelving system.
This furniture design project has been awarded a 2021 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
The Wing collection is a very versatile wall or freestanding shelving system made of extruded aluminum.
Its design is discreet, with a structure of essential shapes and shelves of subtle profiles that instill an expression of lightness and sophistication into the piece.
The modules can be configured in multiple ways and heights to suit diverse needs and spaces, both in the contract and residential environments.
The option to integrate sliding panels, oak or technical stone covers on the top shelf, as well as various accessories, serves to enhance and complement the functional nature of the system.
Manufactured in steel and available in different colors to match or contrast structure and panels, the accessory options include four different types of containers: trays, small trays, file holders, and drawers.
All these elements play a key role in keeping objects, documents, paperwork, and stationery in order and the space uncluttered.
The top board placed on the highest shelf to hide the fittings can be finished with premium materials that include natural oak and the Techlam porcelains ─Kalos Bianco and Tempesta─ which are not only hygienic and easy to clean but also highly resistant to wear, chemical products, fire, and high temperature.
The thermosetting polyester powder coating, available in a choice of vibrant colors ─from matt white and satin black to the textured bronze and rust and the bolder green and red─, offers excellent protection of metal structures and panels against corrosion, intense use, and chemical attack.
Colors can be combined to accentuate the personal style of compositions and add a touch of fun to look at.
