Copenhagen, Denmark
Manufactured by Karl Andersson & Söner and designed by Mario Martinez, the Hito table is a stable, small, handy, and easy-to-match piece of furniture, inspired by the balance and tension experienced in stacked playing cards.
Its compact and lightweight construction facilitates easy mobility, enabling flexibility to accommodate changing needs and preferences.
Its surface top is crafted from solid wood, while the base is molded wood, resulting in a silhouette that varies in appearance from every angle, depending on the viewer’s perspective.
“Hito,” meaning “people” in Japanese, aptly reflects the core function of the furniture, which is to bring individuals together and foster connections around its surface.
Therefore, its name aligns perfectly with the table’s mission to cultivate a sense of community and togetherness.
