Mac Stopa’s Moon chair for Tonon is a sculptural furniture piece expressing the designer’s passion for organic curved lines.

The sculptural shape of the Moon chair is based on semicircular forms calling to mind the phases of the Moon.
The sides of the seat of the chair extend into the armrests, forming a flexible suspended backrest that adjusts itself to the position of the body ensuring maximum comfort.

The chair’s design has been awarded a 2020 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
The chair’s organically-shaped shell is made of a self-supporting frame injected with integral “soft touch” foam.
The flexible foam geometry contours the body and gives a pleasant sensation of softness for added comfort.

The Moon chair collection is composed of several elements.
The Little Moon is a chair or stool of small dimensions, suitable to be inserted in residential contexts, or as a seat for a restaurant or cafe.
The Moon is a small armchair that can be placed in the meeting room, as well as in the study of your home.
The Full Moon resumes the dimensions of the Moon, with the difference of a full backrest, to give even more support to the back.
