Dark and Stormy Table has been awarded a Prize Design for Modern Furniture + Lighting 2023 by Global Design News and The Chicago Athenaeum Museum for Architecture and Design.
From the very first glance, Dark and Stormy makes clear that it is not a simple piece of furniture, and could be easily compared to a modern art sculpture.
Its form is quite simple, a cube-like shape made of clear resin available in a variety of colors including yellow, amber, blue, grey, and amethyst.
However, Dark and Stormy is more about the effect that creates in the space, casting colorful shades and shadows.
Lauren Rottet, a highly accomplished architect, designer and curator, with Dark and Stormy Table reflects her idea that interior spaces should be as visually dynamic as the exterior.
