LarrazArquitectos were appointed to design a single-family home, in a low-density residential complex surrounded by very traditional buildings, developed at the beginning of the XXth century in Pamplona, Spain.

The AB House design was short-listed for a 2021 International Architecture Award from The Chicago Athenaeum and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

A reflection on the way to adapt to this gentle environment seems mandatory, both from an adequate use of the scale and from a respect for the materials and geometry imposed by urban regulations; but far from being quaint and from simple repetition of the existent, and trying to make a serene exercise of the contemporary.
