Logroño, Spain
Located in Parque Felipe VI in Logroño, next to the Intermodal Station, Konstantin Grcic’s new urban installation ‘Arenas’ for Concéntrico takes visitors through three interactive interventions.

A round basketball court with 9 hoops at a height of 3 metres, an interactive instrument with 16 drums made of plastic barrels with lids, a public swing with 20 seats made of wooden beams make up the ‘Arenas’ installation.
Integrated into the festival program of Concéntrico 08, the structures serve as a platform to host events, performances, and talks.

The eighth edition of Concéntrico expands the usual focus of the festival and explores new urban practices by taking the proposals to locations that expand it in a constant listening that evolves to continue to raise debates that look at the city itself.
Konstantin Grcic’s project was designed with a focus on sustainability and the park is articulated by materials that can be reused for future events (scaffolding elements) and decorated with recycled materials such as plastic barrels that turned into drums.
