Kirei, part of Carnegie Acoustic Solutions and a provider of innovative, sustainable acoustic design materials for commercial interiors, announces the launch of the Lit Collection—an integrated acoustic lighting system that combines sound absorption and illumination within a single ceiling solution.
Building on its established acoustic forms, the collection pairs expressive geometry with embedded lighting to enhance how spaces look, sound, and function.
Developed with Seattle-based RESOLUTE Lighting, the Lit Collection integrates lighting directly into acoustic elements, reducing the need for separate ceiling fixtures.
By merging two systems into one, it streamlines specification and installation while minimizing material layering.
This creates a more efficient ceiling approach where fewer components deliver improved performance, visual clarity, and sustainability benefits.
“Our approach with the Lit Collection was to rethink how acoustics and lighting come together as a single, integrated design system, giving designers greater freedom to shape spaces with intention,” said Michael DiTullo, Head of Product Innovation for Carnegie Acoustic Solutions.

The collection extends Kirei’s signature acoustic forms into lighting, maintaining consistency in color, material, and performance.
Designers can specify lit and unlit elements within one system, ensuring a cohesive visual language while allowing layered compositions that balance illumination and acoustic control.
From the soft, radial HyperFly forms to the faceted Tessellate and rhythmic Kirei baffles, each design integrates light and acoustics into a unified solution.
Installation remains consistent across all elements, simplifying coordination and execution, while making light an inherent part of the system rather than an added layer.
The Lit Collection also allows customization across more than 40 through-panel colors and compatibility with Kirei Ink, an in-house printing system offering botanical imagery, textures, and custom graphics.
With over 50 signature prints and bespoke options, it supports both subtle and bold ceiling expressions.
By combining lighting and acoustics, the system reduces ceiling complexity and material use.
Made from recycled PET and supported by HPDs and EPDs, it contributes to LEED and WELL standards while promoting healthier indoor environments.
