Jun Yasumoto, in collaboration with Arrmet, designs Dopo, a large and extremely comfortable lounge chair that features a wide and ergonomic backrest that promotes relaxation while maintaining a connection with the surroundings.
Jun Yasumoto’s DOPO has been awarded a 2023 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
Dopo, which means ‘after’ in Italian, was chosen by the designer to epitomize the essence of this lounge chair, designed for enjoying all the ‘after’ moments one can possibly imagine.
“After a long day, after a nice meal, after work, this is the best time and place to relax. It is also a place for procrastination, a chair suitable for all the “I’ll do it after ..” moments that the designers need at times. Dopo is an invitation to take it easy,” states Jun Yasumoto.
The open seat and comfortable headrest allow for various seating positions, enhancing leisure time enjoyment.
The unique and distinctive design features of DOPO are represented by the tubular frame and large, soft cushions.
The steel frame comes in three different reclining versions: Relax, Bergére, and Lounge.
Relax is the epitome of comfort and coziness, making it a standout feature of any home interior.
The Lounge and Bergöre versions are perfect for the contract sector, providing an elegant solution for foyers or entertainment halls, and ensuring overall comfort and relaxation wherever needed.
