“The basin which receives the water is the visual translation of a dynamic gesture, the soft and slender opening of an elegant corolla,” says designer Iosa Ghini.

The Kalos Pedestal Wash Basin designed by Massimo Iosa Ghini, is the result of Devon & Devon’s collaboration with this prominent figure in contemporary architecture.
For its inspired design, Kalos Basin Pedestal Wash Basin was awarded a 2021 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
Known for his involvement with the iconic Memphis Group, Massimo Iosa Ghini is an Italian architect and designer who blends forms and dimensions, crossing boundaries in disciplines in art, design, and architecture.
Under Iosa Ghini’s design direction, this luxury bathroom staple reinterprets sophisticated retro inspirations with a contemporary twist.

The design, with its soft and sinuous lines, refers to the organic shapes of the corolla flower, while a large circular mirror hangs naturally over the basin.
Kalos’ body is made entirely in White Tec, a mixture created and processed exclusively for Devon&Devon.
This unique material guarantees excellent impact and mark strength and complies with the highest standards in terms of quality and sustainability.
