Poppy is a table lamp that is inspired by the flower of the same name, a plant that is known for its resilience. We took inspiration from both its shape and personality, and added sleek lines informed by textiles.

With the help of 3D software, we were able to plant our idea of Poppy into splines and pot it into the form of polygons, mixed with motion graphics. This unfamiliar route of the design process helped us shape the organic form that translates fabric, drape, and pleating into Poppy, one that matches our contemporary design language.

The growing popularity of 3D printing in the past decade has led to some iconic designs but also raises the question of sustainability. Recycled filament has always been part of the conversation, a meaningful step toward sustainability. But we found ourselves wondering how much further we could go, and what sustainability could look like through our own hands as designers.

That question led us to slow down, refine our process, and focus on precision. It also opened the door to interior design, a space we had never explored, but one that deeply resonated with us. We love how art transforms rooms, and how it shapes atmosphere and emotion. That’s where our path naturally shifted, where two different design languages finally became one, where pleats meet polygons. That’s how Poppy came into being.

We hand-pick every finished piece from the print bed to make sure the filament has landed where it was meant to, making real-time adjustments when needed. The process is tedious, but reducing mistakes helps minimize waste during printing. By using filaments formulated for reliability, we hope Poppy will be something that lasts in your home, roaming from room to room.
