The Petanque Chair collection includes two distinct models:
The Rocking Petanque Chair which is crafted to provide a serene experience, this chair invites users to enjoy moments of tranquility and contemplation.
On the other hand, the Standing Petanque Chair is designed as a versatile coffee table chair, it serves as a focal point in any space, combining functionality with visual appeal.
In recognition of its innovative design, the Petanque Chair was honored with the prestigious Good Design Award in 2024 by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
Cbastian Egeriis draws inspiration from his father, Aage Egeriis, a notable Danish furniture designer from the 1960s.
This familial legacy influences his approach, merging traditional design elements with contemporary aesthetics to create timeless pieces like the Petanque Chair.
The furniture is designed to make shapes and geometry support each other to create unique pieces.
In that process, the designer’s attention rests on the philosophy that the simplicity of the circle must not be lost in the organic form implementing organic shapes into simple geometry to achieve an elevated aesthetic union.
