The Icona Design Group designed a wearable sanitizing device based on a technology developed by Sanixair.
The sanitization technology Airia is achieved by ionization, or “ionic breeze,” a system that produces millions of negative ions that purify the air around the person wearing the device.

This natural process envelops the wearer of Airia, creating a one-meter diameter of purified and uncontaminated air wherever they go.
This provides various beneficial effects, such as the removal of pollen, allergens, and fine dust particles.

The negative ions also have a number of other positive effects on the body, such as the increase in blood oxygenation, and the promotion of cognitive abilities and muscle tone.
For its inventive design approach, Airia has been awarded a 2023 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

Airia is particularly dedicated to people suffering from allergies. With consistent use, respiratory issues are significantly reduced over time, allowing for a freer and more comfortable breath.
Made of technical polymers and treated with special paints, the product works with lithium polymer batteries and is rechargeable with a USB-C socket.
Airia has a dedicated app (iOS and Android) that provides a series of useful information for your sanitizing device, such as the quality of the surrounding air, and the charge level of the device.
