HP Design team creates the HP Pavilion All-in-One as great home entertainment and work system.
The project has been awarded a 2020 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
A privacy-focused pop-up webcam is integrated into the main housing for a sleek look, wireless audio streaming from the phone replaces the need for a separate audio speaker, and the stand features wireless charging, so you can charge your phone while watching a movie–without hunting in the dark for a charging cable.
As people increasingly look to take the home computer out of the home office, HP Design asked, “What makes a computer for the home? What form should it take? What should it do well?” We spent time studying what a home computer is when it isn’t a business machine, but something that has to be good at a broad range of tasks. How should the machine interact with smartphones? How should it fit in with the decor?
HP Design considered all of these to figure out the problems of the home user, and how they differ from the business professional, without sacrificing computing power.
The HP Pavilion All-in-One computer has been designed to enjoy movie marathons as well as tackle projects and schoolwork.
It was made especially for the home.
This new design boasts crisp lines and subtle patterning to fit seamlessly and elegantly into a home office or lounge space.
Packed with all the necessary specs to live up to being a home entertainment and work system, the Pavilion All-in-One also makes the user’s life easier by grouping the computer inputs near the center of the back for better cable management, and by adding wireless charging to the stand.
By considering how users interact with audio in their home, we add new HP Audio Stream software to this product, so the user can steam their smartphone audio to the BandO tuned speakers even when the computer is off, replacing the need to purchase additional stereo systems.
HDMI input allows the user to connect a smartphone, game console, DVR, or other device and use the computer as a monitor.
HDMI output allows the user to connect a second monitor to further extend their work or gaming experience.
HP concentrated on making the best home computer for entertainment, creativity, and schoolwork, and arrived at a machine that can replace a music speaker, act as a movie machine, play games, and much more.
