Nestled within the dense forest, this residence is a deliberate response to its natural surroundings. Designed by MCxA, the project embraces the site’s topography and existing vegetation, carefully positioning each volume to preserve the mature trees and integrate seamlessly into the landscape.
The house unfolds through four distinct volumes, each oriented to maximize natural light, cross ventilation, and panoramic views of the city and forest. This strategic layout not only enhances environmental performance but also creates a dynamic spatial experience as one moves through the house, with each corner revealing a new perspective of the surrounding nature.

A defining feature of the architectural expression is the structural system: elegant, sculptural columns in funnel shapes that subtly echo the verticality of the trees. These, together with bold cantilevers, anchor the house within the site while lifting it to minimize ground impact. The structure becomes a poetic gesture, blurring the line between built and natural form.

The interplay between mass and void, transparency and enclosure, results in a design that fosters connection with the outdoors while offering comfort and privacy. Expansive windows frame forest and city views, while green spaces flow organically between and around the volumes. The materials palette, kept refined and warm, complements the forest environment and reinforces the home’s understated elegance.
The project was developed in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and resulted of a total built area of 1,891 m². This private residence stands as a testament to thoughtful architecture that prioritizes environmental sensitivity, structural innovation, and refined living.
