Inspired by the evocative glow of long, tunnel-like corridors and archways illuminated by recessed floor lights, the Pola collection from Anony captures a simple yet architectural sophistication. Pola, meaning “half” in reference to its halved-circle form, masterfully balances light and heavy, hard and soft elements, continuing the studio’s pursuit of fresh perspectives on elemental geometry.
Warm, diffused light elegantly traces the extruded aluminum in a glowing arc, softening its industrial frame while an open structure allows illumination to flow freely, warming and enveloping its surroundings. “It’s a unique visual, to see this long shape perfectly illuminated,” shares designer Christian Lo, evoking the mesmerizing play of light through expansive passageways.
The Pola collection comprises a versatile range of pieces—a sconce, floor lamp, table lamp, single pendant, and multi-pendant—crafted from extruded aluminum. Available in refined finishes such as Brushed Aluminum, Brushed Brass, Brushed Champagne, Matte Black, and Matte White, each design is meticulously made in Canada.
