Designed by Garmin’s design team, the Descent MK2i is a powerful dive computer with safety and convenience features focused on making your underwater experience safer and more enjoyable.

Keeping track of remaining air levels while underwater is critical.
The watch can wirelessly monitor your tank pressure levels when paired with the Descent T1 Transmitter.
Industry-leading underwater communication between tank and watch is achieved through sonar-based Subwave technology.
This allows for an extended range of up to 30 feet and can monitor up to 5 dive buddies.
The watch automatically detects your entry into the water and starts the dive for you.
Entry and exit locations are saved through GPS so you can track your dives and return to your favorite spots.
Dives are automatically synced to the Garmin Dive App which allows you to review your dives in more detail, explore new diving areas and share your adventures with friends.
Between dives, the MK2i tracks your health and fitness levels with advanced training features.
The watch uses premium materials like titanium, sapphire, and a diamond-like carbon coating to keep it light on the wrist and durable enough to survive all your adventures.
The MK2i is a watch that enhances your life through convenience and health in addition to industry-leading dive features.

Most dive computers are only meant to be worn while diving.
The design team wanted to create a dive computer that wears like a watch.
This allows people to take advantage of all the health and smart features the Descent MK2i offers.
The waterproofing of the watch impacted the design in several ways.
To create room for a more robust gasket the screws were pushed out onto the lugs and notches were added to the circular bezel.
This notched design is again echoed on the inner bezel by machining a lower level on the bezel with contrasting brushed and sandblasted finishes.
Exterior metal surfaces are treated with a DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating for scratch resistance.
The titanium metal bracelet provides a premium appearance and has a built-in diver’s extension for wetsuit use.

A QuickFit release allows you to easily change to an extra-long silicone strap for drysuits.
The MK2i adjusts to your lifestyle wherever it takes you.
Many people travel by plane to get to their favorite dive spots.
After diving you must allow time to decompress before getting on a plane where the cabin pressure is lower at altitude.
Calculating this and keeping track of required “no-fly” times can be burdensome.
The MK2i automatically calculates and displays your remaining decompression time on a 24-hour “No-Fly” countdown.
A second timezone is also featured on the watch face for traveling convenience.
Running out of breathing gas is the most common dive incident and the number one cause of diving fatalities.

The MK2i and optional T1 Transmitter make monitoring your remaining air effortless with sonar-based Subwave technology.
Divers can become distracted and lose track of their remaining air.
Traditional radio frequency solutions have limited range and connectivity. Garmin’s patented Subwave technology allows your signal to travel up to 30 feet underwater and work with up to 5 different tanks.
This allows more experienced divers and dives instructors to keep an eye on beginners for an extra layer of safety while underwater.
The MK2i will alert you when you need to surface based on remaining tank pressure, how deep you are, and how many decompression stops will be needed to safely ascend.
