Adele is the new family of armchairs designed by Folco Orlandini of Orlandini Design for Viganò Office, a collection that is diversified both in the backrest height and in its available finishes.
The collection ranges from executives with high-padded backrests to the meeting seat in techno mesh.
Adele was awarded a 2021 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
The first strong point of the project is the load-bearing structure in die-cast aluminum, a sort of exoskeleton with a load-bearing and aesthetic function.
A light, sturdy frame with multiple finishes frames the backrest.
This structure has been conceived in order to fit backrests of different materials, giving the chair diametrically opposite characteristics: light and almost impalpable the mesh version, more muscular, and determined the padded version.
Furthermore, inside the seat, a “joint” has been inserted in the front.
In this way, the seat can flex in space perfectly following the ergonomics of the human body when the backrest is reclined.
