Sofa bed that does not look like a sofa bed Day&Night sofa bed is multifunctional furniture for sleepover guests. During the daytime, the sofa bed functions as a normal lounge sofa for example in a small apartment or in a summer house. At night it can be transformed easily into two separate single beds or into one double bed.
“Guests are not always a couple and do not want to sleep together. The Day&Night sofa bed solves this everyday problem.”
All the needed bedding can be found in the backrest cushions. Therefore, no separate storage space for bedding is needed.
“This is a great optical illusion. You are actually looking at two separate beds, two duvets, two mattress toppers, and four pillows without seeing them.”
The Day&Night series also includes a bed chair and an ottoman that follow the same principles. The frame is made from solid wood (oak) and the seating (and sleeping) mattresses are made from foam with a viscoelastic foam surface. All upholstery is removable and washable. The carbon footprint of the whole sofa is 204 kg CO2-e and it is offset.
Day&Night belongs to the designer’s product concept Tapio Anttila Collection which is known for its responsibility and products that improve everyday life. The climate impact of all products is calculated and offset, so the products are carbon neutral. Offsetting is done by planting trees with reliable and local partners in local forests.
