David Jameson’s latest modern masterpiece is the 3131 CBR residence which is internationally acclaimed as a piece of habitable art.
The project is conceived to compress time by braiding together products of industry and the hand of the artisan.
3131 CBR has been recently awarded a 2021 American Award for Architecture and a 2022 International Architecture Awards Honorable Mention from The Chicago Athenaeum and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
Timeless and elegant, the striking exterior is wrapped in custom Bronze panels, handmade English clay brick tiles, and custom Sapele windows and doors.
The serene rear garden boasts thoughtfully sculpted landscaping, stone slab terraces, and a saltwater pool with cabana – all overlooking the natural beauty of Battery Kemble Park.
A dramatic 10′ x 8′ pivoting glass door provides access to four levels and 12,200 square feet of luxurious open concept living space.
The light-filled main level features a two-story living room with fireplace, formal dining room, butler pantry, and chef’s kitchen open to both the breakfast and family rooms.
Floor-to-ceiling glass windows including an array of 11’x7′ sliding doors seamlessly blur the indoor-outdoor living experience and frame views to the pool, rear garden, and park beyond.
Six bedroom suites and a total of six full + two half bathrooms throughout the home provide extraordinary comfort and privacy for family and guests.
The owner suite has a large dressing room encased with custom Macassar ebony cabinets; and marble slab bathroom with dual vanities, and custom separate tub and shower.
The home’s top-level includes a lounge with kitchenette, office, and sliding glass doors opening to a wrap-around terrace and green roof offering panoramic vistas from DC to Virginia, Maryland, and the Potomac river basin.
A car collector’s dream – the lower level provides garage parking for 6+ cars and ample storage. This impressive space is climate controlled and doubles as an event space with twelve-foot ceilings and programmable custom lighting.
A DC best address, highly desirable Chain Bridge Road is a winding country lane bordered by national parkland, yet only minutes to Georgetown, Tenleytown red line Metro, Reagan National Airport (DCA), and Downtown premier shopping and fine dining establishments.
Assembled with extraordinary precision and craft, the curated project attempts to create a spatial experience where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
