Developed as an efficient and flexible seating program for adaptable workspaces, Contour focuses on three key drivers: superior comfort, simplicity, and adaptability. Its refined ergonomics cater to diverse users and uses, ensuring exceptional support and usability.
Constructed from second-life materials with optional user-replaceable covers, Contour is designed to minimize material use while promoting durability and repairability. By prioritizing integral ergonomic performance, it eliminates the need for costly, complex mechanics, further reducing its environmental impact.
At the heart of Contour is a single shell and spine to which interchangeable components, such as legs, arms, tablets, and under-seat bag trays, can be easily added or replaced. This modular approach enhances longevity, simplifies repairs, and offers flexible configurations.
The plastic shell features a carefully optimized form to maximize comfort and strength while reducing stacking volume by allowing leg frames to fit closer to the seat pan. Additionally, the fluted neck increases strength while decreasing material volume.
The backrest, made with 100% recycled plastic, flexes to encourage movement, providing exceptional comfort and support. Available in plastic or upholstered finishes, the backrest and seat pad are designed for easy upholstery removal, facilitating repairs. The generously padded seat ensures edge-to-edge pressure relief, while the integrated tilt mechanism in the swivel version is ideal for light-to medium-duration tasks.
The range achieves an impressive footprint of just 29.4 kg CO2e at most, with secondary material inputs as high as 58.4% and secondary material outputs up to 93.2%, delivering very high circularity.
