Shenzhen, China
CLOU architects’ Xiaomeisha Transport Centre is a new 84,274 sqm transport-oriented development optimizing access to the leisure zones on Shenzhen’s East Coast.

Structuring vehicular flow, alleviating peak traffic, and responding to parking demand, the complex bears great significance for sustainable transport into this scenic area.
Clearly separated pedestrian and vehicular traffic places public space at the heart of the design.

The central vehicle-free zone offers visitors a multi-level connection between transport options, from public buses to private cars and local shuttles connecting the greater coastal area.
The elevated park visually and spatially connects the area’s main natural attractions: mountains and sea.
