Chunmao Wu, Peiyao Huang, and Xiaozhen Ying from Donghua University design the H chair, a learning chair whose design is based on the three dimensions of happiness, health, and harmony.

Both the seat surface and back draw their inspiration from the curved shape of the opening book, and the visual semantic expression reflects the theme of a learning chair.
The H chair design has been awarded a 2021 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

The arc bar on the back is easily movable so that it also can be used to hang a schoolbag, an umbrella, and so on.
The H-shaped arc of the seat surface and back aims to provide a comfortable and healthy learning experience for students.
Combined with the “H desk”, it is convenient for students to learn together and share knowledge.

Due to its dimensions, the chair can be easily integrated into the classroom environment via its simple shape.
