Chery Hmi Next redefines human-machine interaction through a user-centric approach.
Driven by the concept of “Atomic Design,” it integrates cutting-edge design paradigms including zero-layer interaction, multi-screen synergy, modular design, 3D scenario visualisation, and emotional intelligence to deliver next-generation smart mobility experiences.
Chery Hmi Next by Chery, won a 2025 Good Design Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design, and Urban Studies.
The entire system adopts a zero-layer interaction framework and introduces “edge interaction concepts”. Guided by the principles of simplicity, usability, and consistency, every interface element is as indispensable as an atom, enabling personalized combinations.

Meanwhile, core functions are prominently displayed on the homepage for instant access and efficient interaction. This ensures a close connection between the positions and functions of elements to meet specific use scenarios and user needs.
In the dock bar, the “temperature” button is positioned within the natural reach of the driver’s thumb, adhering to ergonomic principles for easy one-handed operation, while another temperature button is slightly offset towards the front passenger.
The status bar is prominently displayed at the top of the screen, ensuring critical data is instantly visible.

Another standout feature is the multi-screen synergy, which enables seamless smart content flow across screens.
This not only enhances information accessibility and visibility but also provides users with a smoother, more immersive interactive experience.
Additionally, the system employs a component-based architecture with adaptive functions, ensuring that HMI layouts can seamlessly adapt to different languages, font sizes, and themes.
This flexibility meets the diverse needs of users across various countries and regions, truly embodying CHERY’s “In Somewhere, For Somewhere” global localisation strategy.

The digital cluster and home interface feature real-time 3D rendered vehicle models, complemented by background lighting and dynamic effects.
This integration invites users to appreciate natural aesthetics grounded in scientific principles.
The immersive 3D visualisation suite allows for intuitive monitoring of vehicle status and system controls.
Enhanced by deep-learning integration with large language models, the empathetic voice assistant “Xiao Qi” delivers natural conversations, accurately discerning user intent in navigation, entertainment, and vehicle control. Chery Hmi Next ultimately humanises technology, setting new benchmarks for intelligent mobility.
