Designed by César Bejarano and Gabriel Canedo and manufactured by Hdden Forms, Object 1 table, part of The Entombment collection that consists of three functional pieces, is made from solid white ash, characterized by a seeming frailness.

The table’s structure is defined by the juxtaposition of heavy and light elements and the delicate touch between the components of the pieces and the pieces themselves and the surface on which they stand.
Object 1’s design has been awarded a 2020 Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

Object 1 draws inspiration from the Greek column of the Doric order, which originated in wood.
The designers make use of the column structurally as the ancient Greeks did.
The table formally simplifies the weight-bearing column and takes it back to its wooden beginnings.
